2025 Construction Business Owners Management and Operations (BOMO) Workshop Series
This cohort is designed for businesses new to commercial construction or who are interested in working in commercial construction.​​

All sessions will be held online.

Training will be held:

Participate in the training
Are you new to commercial construction? Or, have you thought about getting into commercial construction and don’t know how?

To operate a successful construction business, owners and management must understand many fundamental concepts. Here’s your opportunity to learn some of these by participating in our multi-week workshop series. This cohort will provide important fundamental principles to help you operate more effectively in the commercial construction industry.

Participation criteria
​
Participation is open to diverse, women or veteran owned firms based on meeting the following criteria. First come, first served:

Must classify themselves as a construction, architecture or engineering company with interest in working in commercial construction.​

Must have been in business for a minimum of two years.

Must be willing to sign a commitment to and attend sessions and complete all quizzes, homework assignments and surveys.*

Must operate locally or within the six-county region contiguous to Cook County.

*If you meet the 3 other criteria above, you will receive a Commitment Form in which you must agree to attend at least 14 of the 16 sessions. This Commitment Form will be sent to the email address on the application you submit. You will be given a date to return it. We will not call you asking for the return of the form. If you do not return it, we will move on to the next person who applied.
